“Inside the Box: Reclaiming Identity in Streetwear Culture”
Client: Supreme
This project explores the tension between identity and consumption through the streetwear brand Supreme. The campaign looks at how Supreme originally built its reputation through skate culture, individuality, and authenticity, but has increasingly become associated with hype, resale value, and status. Over time, the brand’s cultural meaning has shifted as limited drops and exclusivity have turned it into a major symbol of streetwear prestige. Many younger consumers use Supreme products to express identity and cultural relevance, but that identity is often tied to constant purchasing, chasing releases, and participating in resale markets. As a result, self-expression becomes closely linked to consumption, where what someone owns can matter more than the culture or meaning behind it. This creates a tension where individuality is being expressed through the same highly sought-after items shared by many others.
The campaign targets Gen Z streetwear consumers who want to feel unique, connected, and culturally aware within a fast-moving fashion environment where trends and identity are closely tied together. Instead of focusing only on products or hype-driven purchasing, the campaign encourages audiences to slow down and reconnect with the culture, community, and history behind the brand. It highlights the idea that streetwear is not just about what you wear, but what it represents and where it comes from. The core idea, “It’s time to get inside the box,” shifts attention away from the famous logo as a status symbol and instead uses it as a gateway into something deeper. It invites audiences to look beyond surface-level consumption and rediscover the meaning, authenticity, and street culture that originally made Supreme influential. In doing so, the campaign reframes the brand as a cultural experience rather than just a product, encouraging people to engage with its identity in a more intentional and informed way.

I enjoy exploring how brands and sports shape culture and how they connect with audiences in meaningful ways. I’m especially drawn to work that blends strong ideas with visual storytelling, whether that’s through campaigns, branding, or sports content. I’m currently building my skills in campaign development, media production, and concept thinking, with a focus on learning how to turn cultural insights into creative work.
